If you decide to visit Florence, you’re really lucky because you’ll have your pick of countless exhibitions, plays and concerts.
More than 200 trees will be illuminated and about 60 kilometres of LED lights will be used for illuminations around the city, including avenues and suburban streets. There will be classic trees decorated with red lights wound around the trunks and warm white lights on the crowns lining the avenues while conifers, plane trees and lime trees will be draped in white lights in local neighbourhoods.
You can watch the traditional lighting of the Christmas Tree in Piazza Duomo, in front of the baptistery and cathedral.
